Nick Jones was named Atlanta Falcons assistant offensive line coach on Feb. 2, 2024.

Jones comes to Atlanta having previously served as assistant offensive line coach for the Los Angeles Rams from 2021-23. Jones helped coach an offensive line that paved the way for running back Kyren Williams, who finished third in the NFL with 1,144 yards on 228 attempts. The unit also blocked for quarterback Matthew Stafford who finished sixth in the NFL with 264.3 passing yards per game. With Jones' assistance, the Rams' offensive line held opponents to a 34.7 quarterback pressure rate, 11th in the NFL.

During the 2022 season, Jones worked primarily with an offensive line unit that started 11 different combinations of players in each of the first 11 games as a result of injuries. The Rams offensive line was forced to play at least three players at every position except right tackle. Despite the adversity, the Rams offensive line unit stepped up later in the season and didn't allow a sack in Week 16 against the Broncos and allowed just one sack in three games during the 2022 season. With the guidance of Jones, players such as Offensive Lineman Coleman Shelton and Tackle Alaric Jackson were able to emerge as starting-caliber players for the Rams last season. He has also played a role in the success of Center Brian Allen, Tackle Rob Havenstein and former Rams Guard David Edwards over the last few seasons.

Jones was also part of the Rams' coaching staff that worked with Super Bowl Champion and Walter Payton Man of the Year Andrew Whitworth during the final year of his illustrious career.

In his first year with the Rams, the offensive line tied for sixth in the NFL for fewest sacks allowed (31), fifth in pressures allowed (173), and first in time to pressure allowed on offense (2.76 seconds). The Rams offensive line did not allow a sack in two games that season and allowed just one sack on seven occasions.

Prior to joining the Rams, Jones spent the 2020 season in the NFL as an Diversity Coaching Fellow working with the offensive line for the Atlanta Falcons.

Jones spent the 2019 season as the co-special teams coordinator and tight ends coach at Colorado State University. Under his tutelage, the CSU special teams units made major improvements from the previous season, including the program's net punting which elevated from 88th nationally to sixth, and punt return coverage, which moved from 129th nationally to 33rd. He directly oversaw the punt and kickoff units when Ryan Stonehouse was named to the first-team All-Conference at punter. Additionally, Trey McBride was named first-team All-Conference after leading the league in catches by a tight end (45), yards (560) and touchdowns (four).

In 2018, he coached tight ends at The Air Force Academy and served as punt coordinator, as well as offensive tackles & tight ends coach at Coastal Carolina from 2012-18.

Jones was a four-year letterman at the University of Georgia from 2003-06. He was named second-team All-SEC at center, was elected co-captain in 2006, and earned Offensive MVP and the Coaches Leadership Award for the Bulldogs as a senior. The Bowdon, Ga. native was also the recipient of the Leon Farmer Strength and Conditioning Award and was chosen for the Academic Roundtable for excellence in the classroom and on the field.

Following his collegiate career, Jones played for the Seattle Seahawks from 2007-09 before beginning his coaching career at the University of Georgia as an offensive graduate assistant in 2010.

Jones and his wife, Katie, have one son, Deuce, and one daughter, Kennedy.
